Fullness of god

God promises fullness in this life to those who love Him, but this is no ordinary sense of fulfillment. It is the fullness of God Himself (Ephesians 3:18-21).

Fullness of God. What does that mean? It means living a life (with the help of the Spirit of God) in fullness of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control. It means a life lived knowing your purpose, without the fear of what others might think of you. To feel unequivocally satisfied and lacking nothing spiritually and emotionally. This is the life God promises to those who love Him. It cannot be achieved without Him, but He offers it freely to those who would seek it. That is what this piece is about, and that is something worth celebrating.

Lyrics

May we have power, together as His children

To grasp how wide and long, how high and deep, His love for us

And to know this love, that surpasses all knowledge

That we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask

And to His great power that is at work within us

And to Him be the glory in the church throughout all the generations

Forever and ever, Amen

We want all that you are, every detail and part

To the measure of all the fullness of God

And then we overflow because our depths could never hold

All the wonder and awe and the glory of it all

For You’re all that we need and don’t hold back nothing

So come and fill up our hearts to the measure of the fullness of who You are
